| Details: | House of Arts", also known as the Nyerere Cultural Centre, is a unique handicrafts venue in which artists, most of them young, create and sell their work. Their output is generally of high quality and includes jewellery, textiles, pottery and ceramics, etchings, paintings, and the inevitable Makonde woodcarvings. Traditional dances are performed most Fridays at 7.30pm (Tsh2000), and there's a small bar and a modest restaurant where you can have lunch. |
